it is a 84 not 54...LOL...but definitely worth the asking price if it runs...powered by a 17.5 hp ONAN (?) with a blower ...sounds like an incredible deal, especially if you can hear it run and the blower works...

thanks very much, i have a wheel horse 414-8 with a deck and tiller that i just got and a few toro wheel horses but really like the true wheel horses before toro junked the line. i also have a hestton front runner that toro bought out and stopped making so i have started to look for older machines, what do you think of the wheel horse 120 and 160 as i have been offered both of them from a fellow who has them stuck in his garage gathering dust but complete and running, any idea on what they are worth fair to so so good condition thanks john

Well to be honest the C120 is amongst my most favorite. After all I still have one that is operational that my Dad bought in 1974, Still starts and runs fine...the decks are a little weak but still around. all the other implements for them are pretty good. The C180 is about the same beast excepti tis powered by a 16HP Kohler the 120 is a 12HP Kohler.

They are super durable and plenty capable of work...GL

It should be a 17hp Twin Kohler. Considering that it comes with a deck and blower, I do not think that is too bad of a price...

You know anything that runs could be worth the $50. But IMHO the C series and D series wheel horses are great machines, I myself would not own an A or B ( A is the lightest duty and D is the heaviest duty). If you need a lightweight machine for doing some stuff $50 wouldn't be bad. But most likely resale value will not be in an A or B...GL

The "A" would be something to complete a collection...probably wouldn't use it to work with...JMHO.
