41% Dixie, barely a yankee. I don't know how this computes but most of my individual answers were met with "used widely across the US" or the like. Now I was born and raised in Western PA and still live there. I've worked in Alabama for the past ten years and I really have to listen carefully when I'm down there to determine what the folks are talking about so my score baffles me I guess. Apparently, I'm very vanilla.

Took the test again, and after all these years... I got the same score. :(. LOL

I just took the test again and answered everything like I felt my co-workers in Alabama would. I scored 100% Dixie.  Go figger.  I'm somewhat of an oddity around here in that, being born and raised in western PA, I never got into speaking Pittsburghese.  I cringe when I hear the word yinz.  I'm weird.

I think part of the reasoning behind my original score is that the answer that I would pick to so many of the questions wasn't there so instead of picking none of the above or whatever, I chose one closest to what I would say.  I should do this one more time and see what comes up.

25% Dixie. I'm grabbing a pop and some care-a-mel and taking frontage roads only to contemplate this.

Well, I guess that'll be OK. Just as long as your going to visit your Aunt and TP the house of that neighbor you hate Before you leave.

LOL on the yinz.
Warsh and implavize used to cause a physical reaction for me. They don't bother me much anymore, I just don't use them.
(WOW did I have to fight with my spell checker on that reply. It was being VERY persistent)

Well I just took it again and ended up being a little more Dixie than I was before!  I don't wanna play anymore.

38% Dixie.

The only time I ever left East Central IL. was to go to Ball Hollow Plow Day!!!

Must have been some kind of long lasting influence!  :D                        Rick

52% Dixie.

I took a language test very similar the other day and it said I was from the West coast.

I've lived in Ohio 90% of my life. I've been told I say things "funny" my whole life. I've always tried to have a neutral accent.

48%, I've always lived in the north, but my Dad is from Georgia. We spent a lot of time visiting his relatives way back when.

"34% Dixie. You are definitely a Yankee."

No surprise there. Born and raised in So. California but my dad's family is from New England originally.

28%Dixie, I guess I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy, but up here we call ourselves Saskatchewanites!  Or in my case, a River's Ender.
