Yanmar diesel - if regular maintenance is done they will go 3k-4k hours without a problem. Smooth and powerful.

The rest of the tractor is essentially the final revision of the 318. There are quirks to them but nothing major. Same problems as the 318. Price is right and I would jump on it if you can swing it. This would be my choice over a 430 any day!

One of the most sought after models in that size range. Strong reliable hydro, power steering, turning brakes, a very nice tractor, even for green! :D I believe 16hp, but for sure is a 3 cylinder Yanmar. $1200 is a great price! Mainly just look out for engine ticks/knocks just like with a gas engine. Excess blowby is a sign of ring wear. Should be minimal at higher speed. These engines when in good order are very quiet without any pecks, etc. They run very smooth. Hydro of course needs to be crisp without hesitations.

The 430 is a bigger more powerful tractor that turns tight from what I know.
Why would you chose a 332 over a 430?

Just looking for info here.

Don't find many 332's Doug. Seems like a real good price too! I believe however, they have 22 horsepower in lieu of the 16 that Daniel mentioned. Doesn't look like it's in bad shape either. I've seen a lot worse go for more money. Good luck on it if you decide to go for it.

Wow, the pictures look like that tractor has very few hours on it, considering it's age. The price is very low, but for Canada it's a real steal. I had one that was brought new in the 80's and like others have said, very good tractor, think 318 on steroid's

Size - For what I do or will take care of in the future the 50" deck is plenty for me. The tractor is that much smaller and incredibly easy to drive. Just a better overall package for me. :smilewink:

430's are sweet machines and have some serious attitude... more than I need.

Imo: That is under-priced by about 100%.

Just go now.

If you can land it Doug, you wouldn't regret it! The color may throw you off for a bit, but you'll adjust just fine.

Doug, there has been one for sale near here all summer. He was asking 3k for it then 2800 then 2500. Heres the ad. http://novascotia.ki...QAdIdZ367178778 It has a mower deck and has 1100hrs on it. These have an hour meter so you should be able to get the reading. 1200 is a low price!
