I wonder if that is the system as on the GT2000. I have never had a desire to use the ones on my tractors. After converting to diesel didn't hook them back up. If a person had a long straight area to mow I can see it but for the average yard not very practical.Going to be interesting to see what that goes for.

I say its not a rare option most of the last years of the HT23 had them but the only rare part is finding a nos one not on a tractor.

As an add on to the HT18, HT20, and HT20D, I'd guess that it's at least semi-rare. The HT23s from 1984 to 1987 had it, Power Steering, and an Axillary Hydro Oil Cooler as standard from the factory. 1984 was the year the HT23's model number changed from 2389 to 2389s

Info on the HDT1000is pretty hard to come by, but from what little bit I've found, like the HT23 there was the model 2388 and 2388s, with the 's' model having the same 'standard' equipment as the late model HT23s, while the 2388 was the 'bare' version, like the earlier HT23s.
