Good morning.

I am in need of what I will call the govenor plate from a B&S 142302 (off my Panzer tractor). Mine is missing and none of the previous owners have any idea where it went.

This is the plate assymbly that goes on the side of the block between the govenor arm, and the carb. I would also love to have a photo of the plate before its removed and how the throttle was attached as well.

I would also like to find the pulley that goes on the front end for the starter generator.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

If someone doesn't come up with answer before tonight, will look in my old Briggs parts book when I get home and see what I can find.

I have the parts breakdown schematics in my Briggs stuff, I will take to work and scan it and try and get it into the manuals library here tomorrow am before work. Hopefully with that and the pics from Bolens 1000 you can figure out what is needed.

OK I was able to get the illustrated parts list for your Briggs into the manual section under engines, Briggs, looks like that series was used on more than one tractor so maybe it will help others too. :smile1:

Bill S. You have a one of a kind engine there because as I look at it that thing has BOTH a mechanical governor AND an air vane governor. Am I seeing things???

To My Neighbor in Chillicothe, you are seeing correctly. Not only am I perplexed I am not reaklly certain what I have.

Except in an old Briggs manual I did see a picture similar to this. If I can find another Panzer with an original B&S engine I will be looking at it very closely.

Glad to know my eyes weren't playing tricks on me!! I wondered if it had a new shortblock installed sometime in its past. I think I have the parts you need to put it back to a wind vane.

Went out and checked. I have everything you need. The problem is, I don't sell anything. I'm more of a buyer and collector. Guess I'll just have to give it to you. :-)

Sounds like me. I don't sell any toys. Been known to give it away but never sell anything.

Lets do some bartering trading or something.

I will be at the Shelbina show and would like to have this on my panzer running at that show if possible.

Are you going to the Platte County show this weekend over by KCI airport? I'm going to be there and could bring the parts or the entire engine if I don't get time to remove the parts. If not, I may be able to deliver them to your house or mail them to you. I still have your address.
