Said I'd post a couple pics real quick before milking, but was 1 1/2 hours late getting started, so it had to wait till I got done. Cows don't take well to time changes, so I wanted to get right into milking when I got home.
Anyways, here she is, and a very good deal as far as I can tell. She runs very smooth & sweet, NO leaks anywhere that I can see, and wasn't cleaned up to hide any leaks either. So far I've seen a new ignition switch, new fuel filter, and new fuel pump. There's also a box of new deck wheels, new pto switch, and other small bits. Then a brand new set of Gator blades, and the lift arms off a different 430 included. I'll just have to fab a rockshaft & lift links to have 3pt hitch. Oh yeah, a 3rd arm link included also.
The seat has the spring ride system under it. It feels like it will ride very comfortable! The grill is damaged of course, but no rust & can be straightened. Hood corner is an easy enough repair, and the damage is confined there & no damage to any of the hood hinge mounting bosses.

And the deck shell is nearly new!

Too tired to play with it tonight, so tomorrow is play time. The deck belt isn't correct, as it's too long. But it will mow, just not deep stuff as the belt will slip.

Really nice looking GT Daniel. Glad it's found a good home.

Gotta ask, what color are you going to paint it?

Daniel, I'd say you did very well. Good for you . Congratulations it looks very decent, especially for the asking price. I'm glad you got it.

Not decided yet, but doesn't matter for a long time anyway, as I'm booked up with things to do. Likely go with green, much as I truly would like to paint it a flashy bright red. If I ever needed to sell it, red would hurt it, so it'll be green when the time comes most likely

Fred & Denise actually drove us to get it. 4 of us couldn't fit in my std cab, so Fred drove Denise's F250 diesel club cab. After losing trading for the 430, I thought it might be too painful for him to see it so soon, but he handled it well! :D

If you do paint it red, then when you sell her, I'll be able to afford it.

Go ahead, make my day!! :smilewink:

Nice looking 430 Daniel! You could always pretend it was a Patio model and paint it up red and white! The last time I remember seeing a green GT in your pics it was a 200 series and I think it was being scrapped. I think this one will fair better!

I'm a thinking you may have to come up with another parking place for this 430, cause ya know some of those "Green" fellas don't always play well with others... I'm thinking maybe S.E. Ohio would be about right...should I bring an empty trailer to plow day? :bigrofl:

Nice score on the 430 :rocker2:

The scrapper green one was a 110, and I still have a 212 I need to sell. The 212 runs well, but smokes a lot. I took it in as a trade on an Allis 716. I also have a JD F935 front mower, and it's priceless to me....one grass eating machine!
Maybe I'll not be greedy, and just go ahead & paint this 430 red. Then like Brian said, he could afford it! :smilewink:
I'll always be more of a "Red Tractor Guy", but I'm not allergic to green by any means!
