Yes, it's a replacement engine.

The original engine would've been grey, model number would've started with 143. and it would've had a separate starter generator unit instead of a starter bolted to the engine.

Andy, I thought I'd go out & take a couple of pics of mine. Gave me something to do between raindrops.

My engine had been replaced at some point in the past too, but the previous owner bought a direct replacement from Sears. Best I can figure, the engine is about 8-9 years newer than the machine.

Those are some awesome WIDE wheels and cool looking weights you have there Andy. Tractor puller enthusiasts like those alot.

Thanks for the pics, MH81. That's a fine tractor you have there. I like what you did with the 3-point hitch/drawbar. Looks like it should work good.

Ya, i really like the wheels too. Nice tractor mh81. Is it the same year as mine? Is is original ? I am guessing on mine the hood might have been changed too because of the hole where the oil fill tube comes through. Thats one of the things i thought that made the motor original.

It's original as far as I know. All except the rear tires and the engine.
