Found a sears suburban ss14 on Craigslist listed for 250.00. says it needs governor work. have not gone to look at it yet maybe tomorrow says it starts and runs.
Anyone know about the governor on these how hard could it be to repair. they sent me a few cell pics it dosen't look to be in real bad shape.

I don't know for sure what the seller means by needs govenor work but a lot of times it can be caused by the linkage being out of adjustment or a worn throttle shaft in the carb. Those problems can cause over/under reving or throttle hunting/surging. Good luck on your find.
