Woke up to 4" heavy wet white stuff out there this morning.I'd be out ploughing it if I figured it wasn't going to melt.It will and a week from now I'll be picking up leaves again. Its creating lots of havoc for lots of folks.Road conditions are bad, lots of down hydro wires people without power etc: not good for many.Very windy conditions as well.Supposed to clear out tonight but can expect this all day once it warms up a bit the snow will soak into the much needed dry ground .Larry

At least you put a good spin on it. You need the water for the dry ground. Thanks for the glimpse into most of our not too distant futures!

Weren't there a lot of grass fires out there just a couple of days ago? This should dampen things down for you at least. Too bad it had to be snow as I'm sure it will be a pain for a lot of people.

You live about 3 blankets too far to the north for me. :smilewink:
That cold wet snow just makes me ache. I would rather wait till it is the dry powdery stuff. Hope everything gets back to normal for you shortly.

You could throw on 3 more blankets for me. It's about 55* out there right now and just a bit chilly for me!

Larry, I'm with you. At this point I will take any moisture Mother Nature is handing out, regardless of its form.

Gracious Kenny, 55 is perfect for everything except swimming and tanning.

Not with a 20-30 mph North wind blowing, its not. Have to wear gloves to pick up the parts.

Can't believe you got SNOW. Yeck. Not ready yet, not even a little bit.

High of 68 today. Mostly cloudy, but a nice day. Perfect tonight, absolutely still & 45. "Just right for t-shirt " weather.

In about 25 days it will be the 1 year anniversary of our "Pre-Hallowe'en Snow Event Disaster". I really want to go back to the days when the snows came AFTER the leaves were off the trees and the pines had hardened up. Nice picture though!

Just keep it up there! :D

Last July I bought a JD 314, then a 49 blower for it. Refurbished the blower & added electric chute & spout controls, never used them last winter. Don't really care if I don't need them again this winter!

Also have blades for the 70 I & the 420, don't take long to put them on!

Did I mention that the older I get, the less I like winter!!! :wallbanging: ~~ Lowell

I'd actually like to have some snow this year. Didn't get much last year and didn't get to enjoy what we did get... with the kids of course.
