I am replacing a control valve on one of our fork lifts and thought it was very interesting that Hyster uses the same valve as JD. does in the 318 . Hyster does use a 4 port because they have no use for the hydraulics after the steering, it's only for the steering circuit.

That's interesting Brian. I suppose that there aren't that many companies supplying those small valves. Is that valve made in the USA? I'm not sure if the same company supplies the valves for the newer tractors. They could be supplied by Kanzaki (sp) the company that supplies the transmissions for the LT, GT and compact tractors. I think that company may be owned by Yanmar!

Interesting Brian. As a forklift Tech a good share of my life l have seen a lot of those obitrols.
They do fit a lot of different Applications.

Brian, those are Ross model HGF Hydraguide power steering units. Simplicity has used them also.
