Just picked up a toro 940 hydostatic from 1969.have all the attachments with very little use. Even the weedwacker that runs off the engine in the box. Anyone have any info/value/interest in this? Cant find a thing about them. Was told its rare expecially with the atachments. Runs great lights work etc.

I don't know a lot about them, but I have an acquaintance that has one of the 880 versions with the weed trimmer attachment. Here is a link to one of the pics I took of it at a show earlier this year. I'd say that the tractors aren't as rare as one might think, but I imagine that the attachment is. I saw a 770 model at another show recently, but it didn't have any attachments with it. Here is a link to that pic. We'd love to see some pics of yours too when you get the chance! It would be interesting to know how many different models there were of that style. I believe that they were modeled after the Springfield tractors that were being made when Toro bought the Quick Manufacturing Co.

Yes it does look similar to the ones in the picture. Has the same port to plug in the weedwacker on the side and the holster. Also have snowblower and mower. I'll get some pics later today. The weedwacker has one metal blade that spins. Not too impressive. Everything works and the weedwacker is in original box.
