$3500 for a new bucket like that seems kinda high to me. Doesn't look like anything special.

How much would that weigh? That times $0.20 per pound is about what it's worth...

I'm afraid I don't see the fuss. You could get that much paint wear from one day of loading crushed rock. And he wants one quarter of what he says he paid for it. A little black paint and it would be like brand new.

We used my buddy's TC30 for everything under the sun for years and it didn't like 1/4 that bad. We hauled scrap metal, cleared brush, moved graves, graded driveways, you name it and it did it. Another friends old 70's Ford still looks better than that and he hasn't been one bit easy on it. That bucket was used and used hard.

He said it sat outside along time. It's been my experience that newer paint sucks on equipment so who knows...is doesn't look all beat up other than paint.
