I am looking for a part that has been discontinued for a ariens 16hp GT model # 931010. The part number is 63102600. The parts is a housing that attaches to the flywheel and connects the drive shaft.
if you have this parts and what to sell please let me know or if your know where i may be able to find one please drop me a line.
Dave, have you checked ebay for that part. If the engine is a Kohler K series you may be able to use other adapters to connect to the shaft. If you post some pictures, there may be some alternatives available. You could also talk to a machine shop to see if they could repair what you have or make something for you.
I just looked and you can still get it new just has a new number. The cost was way up there and you maybe better off going to a machine shop and having it bored and resleeved.

everywhere i called said discontinued even though they list this part
That should be fixable at a machine shop. What does the end of the shaft look like? Is it damaged as well? I can't see how that got so worn without wrecking the shaft. Perhaps the shaft was replaced but not the coupler. You could take both parts to the machine shop and get them to come up with a solution.
With the price of a new one where it is, it seems it would be reasonable to try to rebuild or find a used one. The idea of sleeving sounds the easiest so far, unless you can find a used one.
still looking for used, no luck. The end of shaft is worn as well, no key. must have broken. i going to bring shaft and housing by machine shop an see if the can fix it
If it's not too expensive you would be better off with the repaired assembly than trying to make a used coupler work on the damaged shaft. Both parts need to be in good shape for it to last.
thanks brian, new shafts are still available and not to expensive $45. so if i can find a good used coupler i will get a new shaft. hopefully the machine shop van fix for a good price
