Well it has been a long time coming. Dropped off the tractor to be blasted and powder coated and was told I would have it back in 2 weeks...........of course that is never the case. 6 1/2 weeks later we were finally able to go and pick it up. Now I must say that my 3 year old son was pretty patient waiting for his tractor to come back shiny. He asked me quite often if we could work on it. Finally we had a chance to pick it up and haul it back to the barn located on my parents property. With him being so young we only have opportunities to work on it during the weekends. Well today was the first day that we were able to spend a few hours on it. Being 20 minutes away from where it is being assembled we had to make sure to the most of our time.

I will work on getting some before and after pics off of the camera with the two of us working on it. Had to snap a quick picture with my cell phone before we left for the night. Here is how it looks right now........

My little man is 3 years old and isn't afraid to jump in and get his hands dirty. We are having a blast doing this project together.

The price just went up but for everything minus the motor block to be sandblasted and powdercoated ran me $225

That's looking really good so far Scott! I'm sure that your little man will cherish not only the tractor, but the quality time with you for the rest of his life! $225 actually sounds very reasonable to have it blasted and coated. Keep us up to speed on your progress.

Well guys it had to stall for a bit because of the show. We are making plans to get back over to the barn this weekend and make some more progress with it.

Honestly the little guy asked me this morning when we can work on his tractor and keep making it shiny. I am glad he is so in to it, even at this age. I also picked up another tractor for him and his sister to putt around on that is a little safer. One of the early 1970's Lawn Rangers.......the plastic hood vertical engine style. Needs a new head gasket and the carb fixed.......runs great now but just needs those couple little items and a good bath. Will try and get some more pictures up soon.

Getting a chance to work on the tractor has been hit or miss lately as October is one of the busiest months for us. We were able to head over to the barn yesterday for a few hours and out the wrenches came. We had a ball and the tractor is getting much closer. Zach loves his new ride!
