Finally got the hood painted and put back on. I did the lettering with a paint pen. Not a show quality paint job but, plenty good for stirring up dust in the garden. New tires were mounted. A rope pulley start and a Briggs air filter on the 5 HP Tecumseh allows the hood to fit.DSCN3358.JPG DSCN3355.JPG DSCN3356.JPG DSCN3357.JPG DSCN0146.JPG

That looks great! Was that a "rattle can" job or professionally painted? If the former, what paint did you use?

Tnx..RUT

Thanks! It's rattle can Rustoleum "Safety Red" & Rustoleum "Fern Green". The recommended Grabber Green was a bit too neon looking to me. The Fern Green was pretty close to the original paint inside the wheels.

I'm sure you'll get there. The other tractor you did looks great. I like that your tractors have original motors. I hope you get your new saw working too. I've enjoyed all your videos!

Thanks so much.... that takes the guess work out of it! I'm taking the hood to a local company who's going to bead blast it down to bare metal, so it should look pretty good with these colors applied. :-)
