Meangreen & I rode our womenz to a local "Ham Days" in Lebanon,ky just 30 miles from our homes. Got a good pulled pork dinner, then strolled down to a small tractor show. Had a great afternoon. The surprise for you to figure out will be in the next post. :smilewink:

He's a celebrity, and this is his hometown just a half hour from me.

I see the Turtleman in the leather hat. He is in Call of the Wildman. Interesting technique to catch animals.

We have a winner! Yes, it's Turtleman! Kinda neat seeing him there, and I should have known he'd make an appearance, being his home, but it never dawned on me till we got there & seen the 4 to 5hr waiting line for pics with him. While neat & all, I wasn't waiting in no line that long, so I just got close enough for pics.
I guess I should have had Fred take a pic of me with Turtleman in the background, but didn't think of it in time. Man, if only I'd planned ahead of time, put on a GTTalk T-shirt and hat, then got in the line early!

Daniel, sorry, I don't recognize the celebrity. I do, however, love that Oliver 44. That is one very nice looking restoration. The pedal tractors are great too. Thanks for sharing the photographs. Glad you all had a good dinner and a good day.

I posted about the same time as you revealed it was the "turtle man". Not sure who he is but I'm glad you saw a celebrity.

I watched the show a few times. Interesting the way he catches the critters. Looks like a great show too!

Looks like a nice show! the weed whacker powered mini pull tractor is pretty cool!

It is pretty cool that the turtleman was there! I just don't like the way he catches some of the animals, I hate it when he picks up the K9s by their tales. And like any "reality TV show, a lot if fake.

I bet you heard him before you saw him, right? :bigrofl:

I recognize the GT's, but I'm at a loss on Turtleman. But I'm happy you knew who he is!

Looks & sounds like a great day Daniel. I've not had the pleasure of seeing Turtleman's show.

Did you happen to get any other pics of the combine? At first, I thought it was a Clipper, but with there are a couple of things that are making me say "?"

thanks, I was right... It wasn't a Clipper, but a post merger version.

Looks like it might be a #27. (I see the 38 on the front, but IDT that's a model #) Don't think it's big enough to be one of the 70/72,80/82,90/92.

Grew up on a ride-behind, then a clipper, then we had an 82 at one point. Nice machines that were at the top of the game when they were built, crude and tiny by today's standards, but they helped feed a rapidly growing nation and much of the world.

Sounds like a great day Daniel. Not familiar with Turtleman though! Don't watch much TV at all.

I don't know anything about a "Turtleman" either.

But, you can't beat a motorcycle ride and a tractor show all in the same day!
