Yes it was its all good both tractors that got tore up will be back in service this weekend.  I got his good parts outta his rearend to make mine whole again and he had another rear end to drop right back in his. So we will be ready for the next plow day but I don't think any of us will be doing a tug of war but if a pulling sled showed up I'd hook up..

Out of all those pics, I did not see an FF or a Ford! Bummer!  :boo_hoo:

Guess I'll just have to try to get the FF up there! :bounce:

Thanks Alan, it definately did a good job.  I am just not 100% happy with how it lifts.  I think I'm going to drill another hole in the lift straps so it lifts a little higher.  I think that I can sacrifice a little depth as it goes way deeper than it needs too.  A little bit more out of the ground would be nicer to keep the plow from digging in.

Glad Ryan is happy with his 10.  He seemed to be on it for quite a while on saturday.

Thanks for fixin that link too.

May I suggest you juggle with your hole placements first?  I'm currently running my sleeve hitch itself in the highest hole, and I'd have to look at the strap to see which hole it is in.  I'll try to post some pics.

Edit PS:  Did you re-power?  If so, what did you use, cause the brief glimpse I saw looked like a Tecumseh.

Kenny, I could have sworn there was one Ford there but I might be thinking of a different tractor.

Would be awesome if you could make it over this way, show everyone what a Ford can do :D

I believe you were thinking of the Homelite, It was Blue. We'll just have to see as that is a long trip. I've been to Hersey, PA. years ago! Might be easier for me to go to Daniel's PD!

It didn't look like the tractors were working that hard in the tug o war. Looked (and felt, as I did compete, and lost) more like they were just stuck in the mud.

That looked like it was a blast !! Great video George!! How many tractors and how many acres got plowed ??

On another note: the blowed up diff in the Deere is a very common issue when they are worked hard enough to have to use the diff lock. I have seen no less than 30 exactly like that . Easy fix and Deere always had the goodies to fix it .

There were 175 tractors registered but not all of them plowed. There were 50 acres available to plow and they all were plowed on Saturday.

Lots of great video footage !! Hopefully next year I'll remember my phone has a high quality video camera. Which I've only used a few times.

The lift straps I am using are ones that I made.  There are only two holes in them, the slotted hole for the float and the end hole for the lift arm.  I plan to drill a new hole in them next to the other hole on the lift arm side of the strap.

As for the engine, yes it is repowered with a K301 Kohler.  The 12H had a Tecumseh HH120 in it from teh factory.

I received the pics Larry Sipe took at plow day. There are about 1600 of them. Big thanks to Larry for taking the time to take all the pics and for sending them to me to post on the site.

I also scanned the local newspaper that had the article in it about the plow day.

I just got a have to watch the slide show pics. Larry, thank you!!! Your selflessness is amazing as is your talent for capturing the moment.

Please, if you haven't, check out the slideshow of the pics here : http://gardentractor...how/album-460/. It's a great way to see an event you weren't able to get to and if you were there, a great way to relive it.
