A good parts counter guy, comes from years of experience.

I think a lot has to do with the computer catalogs that the counter guys has to work with , remember years ago when the whole counter had the catalogs & spec books and they would find bearings seals , pipes , ect for all the odd ball stuff and knew when it was located in the book that was needed . Like others have said if it doesn't show up in the make , model ,year part of their computer they have no idea on how to find it , Al
