Wood Splitting Time!

I had some big Ash blocks I needed to split so I could put them on top of the woodpile to use first. So I put the splitter on the 790 & "had at it" today:

I originally built the splitter for my 1958 JD 520, using the tractor hydraulics:

When I sold the 520 & bought the 790, I put a control valve & long hoses on the splitter & use the bucket connections for the loader & tie off the joystick with a tarp strap:

After I finished today, I repainted the hyd. cylinder on the splitter. ~~ Lowell
