Did I see right, 3 digit serial numbe?

Yes, very early D4-12! Not had time to look at the sales charts, but I figure 69?

Just spoke with the man, again very nice person,

He told me he has 4 JBs, of which all are for sale. JB Is and IIs. Prices range from $100-$200 each.

If I were to pick these up, would anyone need any parts? I'd likely keep one of each model and sell off what I don't need. I don't know what is wrong with what, but if lets say one of the engines are bad, how hard is it to find a replacement?

Just trying to share the wealth so to speak you know?

He may also have another D series floating around that he'd throw in if I took the others off his hands.

The "Synchro Balanced" 14hp Briggs in the JBI's are very hard to come by.

Titus,

I would love to have a jb....but a road trip from me to you is little out of my range! :laughingteeth: Yes I do have my limits!

Man what a great find!! Congrats!!

I could have used the 6 bolt rims at one time, but I now have a set for my HD12.
I would think the rearends, hydraulics, etc would be nice to have as spares if I owned one.

Daniel I am thinking Titus needs a new title...... "king of the bush hog finders"!! He has found more bh's in a short time than anyone I know!

Got the JB yesterday and a spare working rear end 5 lug. This JB will need some love, but I will post some photos soon. I didn't end up buying the other two due to them being primed, painted, etc. I like original, rust, etc. :)

Titus how good of shape were the others? We're they asking a lot?

Congrats on the JB purchase! You are finding a good variety of the bush hogs!

They were in great shape, in fact I took photos. The JB I he painted and it looks good, he painted orange and black. Redid the seats, hood, it all. Bought a harbor freight engine for it and it runs, just goes in F + R slowly now and he was upset that it did that suddenly. So he wants to sell that for $450.

The other JB II I think he wanted $250 for it. That was sanded and primed ready for paint. He also have decals for the JB like the ones Daniel sells for one of the models.

Personally, I like the rusted, sun burnt look on these. Restored doesn't do it for me unless it's done correctly or if it was my fathers, don't care if that was done blue I'd buy it simply based on the fact that it was my fathers and I am still hunting for that one.

Thank you very much, I love the hunt :) I did also get an extra set of rear fenders for the D series tractors in great condition if anyone is looking for a pair. No rot on them either.

Yes, that's why the one JBI of mine will never be restored. It is 100% original, with only the seat upholstery missing.

That AC in the background in the last photo was for sale too. Had a mowing deck, snowthrower, all orig manuals and a 2nd simplicity for parts for $250.

I passed due to me just not needed another project right now.

But if you all are interested in anything and want me to go pick anything up for you, please feel free to ask. I did ask about the gas tank for you Sacsr, you can see it in the last photo. If I remember correctly you were looking for one for your HD correct? He said everything is for sale, however he'd rather not break up the tank with the JB unless he needed too.

If you're interested in it; let me know what price you have in mind, I'll ask him and I can always ship it to you.
