My Grandpa's brother and (brother's) wife (refered to as Aunt and Uncle) are not doing well right now in their old age. They are in their early 80's and Uncle has a tumor on his lung (found out a few months ago and at this point in his life he opted away from surgery). Well, it is growing and has doubled in size since he learned of having it. So he is now in hospice care and all we can hope for is that he doesn't suffer. Aunt has had two knee replacements this year and around all this (and husband's tumor) has managed to fall and break her pelvis. So she should heal, but it will take time. However, she is losing her husband in all this too, so it will be rough stretch. I dunno how to word anything hardly, but it is rough. Right now Grandpa (in his 80's also but doing great) is up there with Dad for the family reunion, so at least the brothers are getting to see each other. I dunno, this is tough stretch here. I have a bad feeling about some things. Please pray. Any confusion reading this just ask, I will answer.

You all have my prayers Casey! It sure is tough losing a loved one, especially when it's a slow process like your Uncle's.

Man Casey, that is tough to deal with. I know what your uncle is going through and I think he would have a very tough time recouping from surgery, it takes years to recover if they still do it like they did mine. I can't imagine what your Aunt is going through with her problems and knowing about her husband. My thought's and prayers are with them, you and your family.

I got more to the story of how my Aunt fell. There was a lady ahead of her that started to fall so being the nice person my Aunt is tried to catch her. Needless to say they both went down, and the original faller walked away unhurt. However my Aunt ended up with the broken pelvis and broken wrist. Isn't she a nice person though, always has been.

Casey, so sorry to hear of the health problems your Aunt and Uncle are going thru. Prayers for a painless passing for your Uncle when it has to happen and to your Aunt and the rest of your family for all physical and emotional healing that will need to happen.
