Hey;

I can't for the life of me read the model or serial off this deck tag. In the second picture you can see it's faded out. Tired even using drops of water and a magnifying glass, but i got no idea .

Can anyone tell me what Model this 48" Deck this is.? Belongs to a Jacobsen 12 HP U, Model T 34001

thanks

That is actually a 42" deck and there should be a manual in here for it as they are all the same from 1972 - 1983.

I have a white deck like that for my Oliver. Mine's actually a deck from a Jacobsen, but it's 42" also. Like skyrydr2 said, they were essentially the same for many years, so I'd check out the manual section and go from there.

The spindles have zerks on the bottom side of the deck under those shields. Here's my deck thread: http://gardentractor...5-deck-rebuild/

Hey kenny P;

Thanks for the link.

Sure looks to be the same deck s mine. Thing is I can't find shields or zerks on them and looked pretty good. Guess I'll have to keep looking. According to the manual, there is "supposed" to be shields under the blades but none on mine.

Thanks

They may not have put one on these. If I had a model # for that deck, I might be able to track down a parts list for it. Just doesn't seem to be an easy way to find parts breakdowns for these machines.

EDIT: I just found a bunch of files for the decks. Is yours a 42" cut? if so, I have a parts list. I need to look through what I just downloaded. 11 tractor .pdf's and 9 mower .pdf's.

Does it look like this?
UT36028.jpg

If so, I have a PDF for it. It will be uploaded, along with a UT-36052 file that looks just like it. These will be under the Ford/Jacobsen Implements.

EDIT: File is here.

None I could see in the parts list. I think they changed the spindles.

Hey KennyP...

I do think so...they make more money selling replacements that way.

Prepped, primed and painted the blower. Going to have to post pictures of it soon.

Thanks
  • KennyP said thank you
