Wow, even the crate looks brand new :smilewink:
After seeing what crates/things look like after only a short time in storage, I'm thinking to good to be true.

One rule of thumb I have (being I live in RI)

I never buy items from Providence on CR

Also I am not a Sears guy, but that color and the seat do not look original. Also like stated above if that crate was that old it would not look like that (unless it was under vacuum in a sealed container)

That looks like one someone else was trying to sell in Providence a few months back. at the time the person said it was a new restore.

But let's say it is legitimate, let's just say. Would you pony up that for a New, old stock, in the crate? I would certainly consider it if I had that money. What would others do?

Can you imagine if that was a 1968 John Deere 140 H3 :firejumper: ! $15,000 - $20,000?
It does seem unlikely.

If it was legite. I would gladly buy that vs a new one!

SS15? That's rather strange All the SS15s I've ever seen were that cool metallic Light blue colored and they did Not have the White Letters on the tires and that seat is Not an original seat.

Unless he's just using that pic as a reference?

Looks shady to me.The Crate is not an old crate from the late 1960s Did they even have Plywood back then?

I'm wondering how he got a pic with it still in the box! Sounds scam to me!

Pretty sure they didn't make the SS-15 until 71 or 72, that would make this a rare bird indeed. :(
Sounds scam ish to me.

That is one of those ads that screams SCAM. Odd there is no identifying marks on the crate whatsoever. You should see shipping labels and some kind of identifying labels from Sears on the exterior of the crate.

Seems fishy to me.... The seat doesn't look original and the tires look strange as well.
I know Bolens stuff was often shipped in crates without the tires installed
