Just got back from another excursion into the wilds of Pennsylvania :D :D :D This time it was near Punxsutawney.

I spotted this rascal on Craigslist late last night, and was up early getting ready to go after it.

It was 380+ miles total, and true to form it rained. Was just some light sprinkles on the way over, but I hit a couple of real gullly washers on the way back.

So, following tradition, I'll introduce CloudBurst VIII

Nice Find!
From the numbers it should be a 1980 HT20D!
Looks like the previous owner got creative with his old garden hose :D

Yep it's a1980 HT20D, and a fairly early one. Runs real nice. It does smoke some when first started, but that goes away after it warms up a bit.

I think it's going to need a new battery,as I had to jump it to get it off of the trailer.

It was obviously well cared for. The PO painted it, and didn't get the decals for the hood. Guess I'll have to get a set for it.

The tires are tubed and CaCl filled. I think I'm going to swap those for the CST Ancla ATV tires I have on the 1886.

I've giving serious thought to selling the 1886 with the loader.

I'm happy with the deal. It was $1,200.00.

Here's the Craigslist ad.

Good looking stuff
P.S. Look at the bright side, at least you didn't have to drive to far on the PA turnpike, my last time to Phil's home town to p/u some Case parts, I had to drive just about the whole length, that is one of the worst roads around, not to mention over 1000 miles r/t for me.

Another nice score OB! Imagine it raining while you were going to get a tractor...how unusual. It looks like a very nice addition to you herd. I hope that you enjoy it!

It costs a small fortune to drive on that nasty piece of asphalt and concrete too!

Very nice Old B. It must be nice to have a diesel in your collection. it will be interesting to see how you like it compared to the gas powered large frames.
