The snow thrower attachment for my MTD 990 is very heavy - as many others are - and quite difficult to move around. I needed to come up with a way to move it around the shed without killing my back.
Looking around the shop, I spied what was left of an old Total Gym 1000 (sorry Chuck). Perfect! Fabbed up a couple pieces to attach to the ends of some square tubing, attached some wheel stubs from off a portable generator, attached the wheels, and slid under the front of the snow thrower. Nothing to moving it where ever I need to now.

I love it. We re-purpose fitness stuff around here too.
Say my wy wife buys a treadmill. She uses it for about a week. When she's done with it, we use it as a clothes hanger and something to trip over.

Too funny, my work takes me into a lot of different houses and 9.3 out of 10 use fitness stuff
as clothes hangers (my house included) :smilewink:

It seems the heavier and more cumbersome an implement is the more often it's in the way and you have to move it. Nice use of whats on hand to get the job done and save your back.
