Here are a couple pictures of the cart I built for my new mig welder. It is built mainly out of " metal lumber ". angle iron with pre punched holes in it. You put it together much like an erector set. I saved scrap pieces from shelves I built at work to build this. I put a decent pair of wheels near the back to carry the majority of the weight and put caster wheels under the front end. With the larger rear wheels and wider stance the cart is nice and stable moving it around the shop.
I might add a few things to it yet before I paint it but it has been working out very well for me.

I like it! Just out of curiosity, is that an old modular shelving system?

Great job Mike, and doesn't matter what materials used, but how it serves! Long as on the subject, here's the one I built for my Clarke Mig. Has room on back of welder for a small gas bottle, but I use flux wire. Just the bottom shelf, and always meant to add a 2nd, but never got around to it. Heavy duty rollers from some salvage stuff I bought. Used 7/8" square tubing because I already had some scrap pieces. The gun holder I put on works nicely.
