gravely-power on this forum let me know he had a Ford 100 that has a transission like I have been looking for. I drove up there yesterday and we made a deal and I hauled it home. I checked it out today and think the tractor is in better shape and more complete then the last 2 tractors I have rebuilt. I am gong to check it out and if I can get running without much trouble I will rebuild it. I am to much of a repairman to part out this nice a tractor.

Nice score! Looks to be from the Jake Chief era. Should be some manuals to cover it.

I know that feeling. I have a hard time giving up on old tractors. In my case they are green ones though

yes it is from the Jake Chief era. This is # 2 of these for me. I have downloaded the manials allready for # 1.This 1 will be mothballed until I get my LGT 165 finished, which I hope to have ready for my big show in Nov.

I had the inclination you knew what it was, so I didn't link the manuals. Glad you are going to save it, even a good refurbish would keep it from getting worse.

I got the latest Ford 100 running yesterday and it sounds good very exciting to hear one run the first time. I got the hear 2 in the past week. What they are saying is I want to go to the show too. Hope to have both the 100 & the LGT 165 painted before the show, not sure about decals and new tires, but painted and running.Running out of time and alreadr ran out of money.
