I'll be in the hay-loft today throwing around fresh new hay bales.

Man, that will be hot enough up in the loft this afternoon. I got to help my FIL do straw this year, hot sticky and dusty. You just can't beat a good workout like that though, there are some of the older farmers that I wouldn't try to keep up with in stacking.

Trimmed & mowed the whole yard for the first time in months yesterday. Then chipped the brush pile before it started raining.

Today has been drizzly, not enough to get wet, but a nuisance! So today was spent on the computer & in the shop; cleaned the chainsaw & filed some old chains. I've got some stumps to trim at ground lever this Fall, hard on chains (& saws). Then made plastic sheaths for a couple of axes, one single bit that I carry in the pickup & a double bit that I sometimes carry in my 790 weight box.

Looked at a great 3.5 acre property today!!! Saw a vintage Wheel Horse in the shop that does some of the mowing and there was also a Kubota unseen in there someplace w/6' mower according to the owner....

Picking tomatoes again today. Should be the end of this field and then it'll be onto the next.

I may mess this whole trip up, though. I've been bugging the wife to let me take our cat to offer up as a wolf snack. She doesn't think that's as good of an idea as I do.

It was fun. The pictures did not come out well because it was dark and the camera focused on the fence instead of the wolves behind it. Visit the website and the pictures on there are accurate and a lot better than what we got. Enjoyed it. Would recommend.

Minnesota State Fair on Sunday. Retaining wall on Saturday and Monday.

Retaining wall at the FIL's place is done. Fair was a great time, as usual. No pics of the tractors though, no camera. Saw a real nice 'Black Hawk' (?) thought it was a Cockshutt at first glance.

The FIL and my wife are at an auction right now. There is a couple of items worth bidding on, but I volunteered to stay home so the kids didn't have to go to an auction the last day of their summer vacation.

On Monday, my son and I are headed to a garden tractor pull at the Perth Fair.
Will be pulling with a couple Moto-mowers and the Sears SS/16.

How'd the pull go in Perth? Hope you and your son had fun.
Perth??, isn't that the county, that Arthur is in?

Na, can't be. That's a long way from home for you.

The pull was lots of fun.. Well-attended with about 50 GTs.
I got to be the MC. Found this out when I arrived.

I don't recall many of the results, but the moto-mowers held their own.. The organization is about pulling for the fun of it. Winning to me is secondary.

Perth is about an hour drive. I'm not sure who is Arthur.
