The G14 should be run with a matched set of 2 drive belts and 2 PTO belts, If the optional Hydraulic pump is installed you should have a total of 5 belts running off the engine's pulley.

Could you possibly post a picture of your tractor and pulley setup so we can tell if its correct for the tractor.
It almost sounds like you have the wrong pulley from a 3 speed tractor on there now.

It looks like you have the setup wrong. Run the 2 matched belts on the 2 back groves of the pulley on the rear of the engine. Both the PTO belts and belts to the drive shaft should have 2 belts. See the pic below where you add the hydraulic pump belt.

Can you take a picture of the right side of the tractor? It looks like the hydraulic pump is not mounted correctly either (too far back?) so you will not be able to match the grove in the pulley on the pump to the correct grove on the engine pulley.

Mark is 100% correct.
Your hydraulic lift appears to be homemade.... The pump should be facing the other way and should be next to the engine if it is factory.

Thanks the third grove I never would have never saw it..Problem salved.Big repair job though. Will have to move the pump and get new hydraulic lines ( longer)But it will be well worth it

Yes it is home made The pump is off a Ford Mustang,The control valve is off a Wheel horse. It has a 6" ram and the lift arm are off a 9N cut down 4".Works great.Just wish it was a little faster lifting faster.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP. Don in California

what you need is some kevlar belts and you need to move your pump to the small pulley in-between the bigger pairs of groves and put a smaller pulley on the pump also the belts are A32 for drive and A41 for pto i got good year insta-power belts for my h14 after breaking MANY sets of Jason belts and other brands and they where kevlar the repower engine was to much torque for the belts
