Hello I thought I'd pipe in , the dump cart is bolens I saw 2 NOS at a old farm store that has been around since 1945 . They sold Gibson,Speedex,Bolens Wheelhorse,&others . He still has some NOS & used parts , there is a S 7 Speedex still new in the back. This is in Central Coast CA. so it might not help some of you .

I figured the cart was a bolens product, as they mad a similar dump attachment that hooked directly on the back of the tractor. That s7 Speedex is probably worth a big buck!!! I wish I could find a bolens 1000 in a crate!!, but dont we all, in that matter finding anything equipment wise with Bolens label still new is a nice find!

I respectfully have to disagree with you on the Dump cart. Bolens never had anything like that with the wheels available, they had a 2 wheel pull behind dump trailer and a Brinly dump attachment pictured below.

Good looking original 800 there!

I wonder if that cart was 'home brewed' using the top part of a dump attachment? Kinda strange in that the tub is backwards from the way the dump attachment is mounted.

That rear blade doesn't look to be a Bolens attachment either.

Well I just got inside. I pulled the 800 out and gave it a bath. It turned out ok, but there was some paint issues hidden by dust and dirt. I may actually restore this machine eventually. I also found the model # and serial #. The model# as I can see it is - - 1 88 01 7. Serial # reads-- 1012. I also took some cleaned up pics, Hopefully my phone did good this time, and not half good size pics, and half tiny pics. I really gotta get me a camera!!! The other machines I got are still sitting up at my dads. I will get them tomorrow and update everyone. Enjoy the 800 for now!!

OK...the 188-01 makes it a '64, and it has a pretty low SN, so it looks like "Doc Bolens" is probably correct in that it has a 'left over' hood on it.

The 7 after the 100-01 is puzzling though. There's nothing like that on my '64 800's data tag.

The guy I bought it from got it running before I got to his house. He disconnected the fuel line at the carb, and hooked up a little plastic tank to the carb and it fired right up. It ran great. The gas tank has alittle rust in it, and old tarnished fuel. So tomorrow I'm hoping to get some kerosene, and I already have 48- 1/4" nuts to drop in the tank, then I gotta do the shake and bake dance to knock loose and flush out the rust.

Is the hood the only item that would of been put on as a left over part?? Does it make the machine "rare", or any better to have than a regular 63 or 64 model year 800??
Also It was kinda hard to read the model tag, so Im glad I was able to snap a pic. The pic I posted shows the 7, So Im not sure what it means. Doc Bolens might know what the 7 is for!!
