Too bad it's not a movie. I'd like to know if it would actually mow the grass. I'm guessing it would take a lot of energy... more than I would care to give it!!! :D

I bet it actually mows pretty darn good considering they used a mountain bike to power it so you could gear down to make it easier.

Maybe they could make a few of them and park outside some exercise place and people who go to the gym to pedal bikes for exercise.Maybe they'd want to buy one to do there lawn and exercise in the great outdoors at the same time.Who knows it might take off.Larry

Back in the late 40's and early 50's there were some company's that produced a kit so you could mount a reel mower to a bicycle.

There is a company that is also making a pedal powered mower today.
It is the Mow Cycle human-powered riding mower and sells for a $974.50 Factory direct price with free shipping.

"Article Summary If the stereotype is to be believed, guys who use gas lawn mowers would love to someday own a riding mower - after all, few things could be more macho than doing circuits of your lawn sitting on a miniature tractor with spinning blades on the bottom. But what about suburbanites who use non-polluting push mowers? What bigger and better type of lawn mower can they fantasize about? Until recently, that would have been a hard question to answer, but now the solution is here... yes, it’s the human-powered Mow Cycle riding mower."

That last one needs a beer holder to look complete, jdcrawler.

I saw the first one tested somewhere...for some reason Bill Nye comes to mind, but I know that's not right...and it did okay but not great.
