After seeing Russ' post where we saw that little pump for oil, I knew I wanted one. And after getting my Massey "2055" out today & finding the tranny/hydro oil was low, then I JUST HAD to have one! Filling the Peerless 2500 series rear ends with oil is frustrating, as when filling, the trans "air locks", then "burps" & blows oil everywhere. These pumps that Russ enlightened us with are just perfect for this type thing. Just run the hose (may need longer vinyl hose) deep down the tube into the open diff cavity, then pump the oil in, no muss, no fuss. With no oil flowing down the fill tube, the case will vent freely. This pump is a different make than the one Russ has, but does the same thing. Was $9.97 at Walmart. Found it with the oil sections, with fill funnels & the like. Screws right onto ATF qt jugs. Just cut the pump lower tube to match a qt jug, as this tube is long enough for marine gear oil bottles which are much taller.

That look like a winner of an idea Dan! I must've missed Russ' original post about that one. Thanks for the heads up!

I wonder if Walmart in Canada have those. It would sure save a lot of spilled oil and frustration.

that looks similar to the pump on a big bottle of tire slime. I wonder if you clean one out good enough to use on oil.

I would guess, yes. We went into Canada on vacation the 1st week of July, and we couldn't tell any difference in a Canadian Walmart compared to a USA Walmart!

I'll have to go take a look. I avoid the place as much as possible but for a helpful item like this I'll get cammo'd up, put on my flack jacket and head in!
