Hope this is the proper place for this subject.
Well, about a year ago I found the remains of a power washer that someone was throwing away. I looked at the cart that it was on, and figured I could use it. Motor is great, B/S 5 hp Quantum, but when running and hooked to a water supply; pull the trigger and the power falls off. Pump makes pressure, but will not maintain after the first initial blast. It is an Excell 1750psi, by DeVil-Bliss. Does anyone know how these things work? I have to admit I am outside of my knowledge base. Is it worth messing with, can I get a new pump, or should I pull the motor and put it on the old Toro self-propelled that I have?

The pumps are rebuild-able, if you can find the parts and that's not always easy. Being only 1750 PSI it's on the low end price and reliably wise so,it might be cheaper to buy a new complete unit, compared to a new pump w/ older motor. Do a check at Northern tool for replacement pumps.
