Good job Alan, sometime we just have to walk away for a while and then a moment of brilliants happens. Mine, though not very often I get them :mad2: happen in the shower or wake me up.

Way to go Buddy.

Well, I didn't get around to looking at the steel pile today, but I did tell my wife about Alan's,....er I mean
my idea. She looked at my daughter, and said, "See, I told you he was smart".

Since a couple of you seemed to think it wasn't a hideous idea & may want to build one, I took a couple of rudimentary measurements.

Now, please keep in mind, these are just approximate. I implore you to do your own measuring.

If I was to make it again, I might make it just a little longer.

Sometimes I think I should to clean out my scrap pile, but then I find a special piece that's just exactly what I need like you did for this project. Good job and I'm glad it worked for you.

All it needs is a rubber foot so it doesn't beat up the tractor then it will be perfect.

Oddly, I beat you to it... but not by much.

I had a piece of rubber here with an adhesive backing. Cut it at 1.5" and left it the 1/2" width. No more "Clang" when I let it down.

Well, I've been looking at my steel pile every now and then, but just couldn't see the piece like
Alan had.
So I did it this way. (Yellow tube bolted to frame)
I don't have any implements for this GT, so this will serve my purpose, which is to back up to trailers, and pick them
up with the drawbar I made up.
