Questions On Gearbox Grease

Hey;

I have a four speed Model UT 34001 Homelite/Jacobsen and and to know what type , and how much grease goes in the rear cast iron transaxle, if you please.

Welcome to GTTalk. Is that the transmission model no. you are quoting? I think most of the transmissions use a gear lube like 80w90 rather than grease.

Must be. That is not a tractor model I am aware of. I'll do some searching and see what I can find.

EDIT: Best I can find is SAE 90EP, approx. 3 pints. From what I can gather this is a 1984-85 model with a K341 Kohler.

That's just a standard version of the LGT from the covered side vintage. It takes regular gear oil .

The UT 34001 model number is from the front frame of the tractor.
Found out it took about 2-1/2 quarts to fill her up.
