Those are great little tractors.

A couple of us on this forum still own and use these. I think we all would agree with you.
Now to be a spoil sport. I think the price is high. I have three of these and have yet to pay over $550.00 for one. Two G4200's and a G3200. One is for parts but the other two are still being used. I'll have to admit that the one pictures has the nicest hood that I've seen on one of these. Nice looking machine. Also if the mower deck isn't rusted out it is worth almost $500.00 by itself as there tends to be a good demand for them. Being a G5200 I would feel good about offering $1000.00 for that one if it is mechanically sound. The dealer once told me that when they were selling these they would go out the door and never be seen again. That sounds like a pretty good testimony to their reliably to me. Also they are very frugal with the fuel which is a big plus.

its is a nice looking machine and the actual machine looks pretty much spotless. the deck looks a little rough but that could just be surface.

my B5100 has the 2cyl z500 diesel and I am amazed at how efficient it is. I checked it this weekend and after mowing about 1.5 hours each week for the last two weeks it used about 1/2 gallon of fuel. that also includes putting around the house and taking the little girl on a couple mile ride to look at some cows down the road. It is amazing how little they use. I want to repower hydrostatic mower with one one day.

I couldn't agree with you more. I almost hate to tell people how little fuel they use as I'm sure they think I'm not telling the truth. :smilewink:

I traded for my G4200, and only had $197 in the Cub cadet I traded even for it. Bad thing is, the Kubota had to have a belt replaced, so now I have over $220 in it! Sips fuel compared to gas!

One was at the local scrapyard in better shape than that one, along with a few older Onan Sears tractors and they all ran. One of the guys that work there is also a tractor nut, so needless to say they were already spoken for, the only way to get anything is to catch them before they hit the scale, the guy who gets them all only has to pay scrap price which is about 165 a ton today. I asked and was told he doesn't need anymore friends, but some day I will figure out who he is.

That would sell quick around here at that price, even with the problems listed.
