Trying to get some things ready for my plow day, and I have 4 sleeve hitch Brinly 10" plows. I have one welded to a tool bar rigid, but have 3 more plow & need sleeve to cat 0 adapters. I still have an old one I made years ago, and it works fine, but is adjustable only in 2" increments to align the implement, as the pic shows.

Yesterday after morning milking, before lunch, I got this new "sliding" adapter 90% finished, and completed it this morning, other than painting it. You simply loosen the 2 lock bolts on the rear of the slider, position, then tighten the lock bolts back down. The metal will likely give after a while, being the tubing is thinner than I would have liked, but using what I already have. I may end up putting in thicker steel tube later down the road.
I also drilled 3 sets of 3rd arm holes so I can adjust the lift pitch.

This is the depth gauge wheel assembly I built a while back.

I have some coming to plow day without a tractor due to the distance to pull a trailer, so I want to have extra tractors for them to plow with.

Well thought out solution to the problem. I don't care what the rest of the guys here say, you still do nice, :smilewink:
And I envy you for having 3 plows. They are hard to find around here.
Is that plow new? Doesn't look to have ever been used.

That is FOUR plows Chris! The one in the pic has maybe an hour's use on it. Guy placed an ad as a 12", which Brinly did make a 12" sleeve model. I called ahead & told him how to measure it to be sure, and both he AND his buddy measured & said "yes, it's a 12". So I hop in my Jeep & drive 65 miles to pick it up for $100. Get there & it's a 10"!!!!!!!!!!! I already had two at the time, so was gonna turn home empty handed. He asked :"what would you give?" . I said I had no need for another one, but would give $75. He took it.
Then later I went to the auction where I got those HUGE tires for my Allis 620 & bought a Sears branded 10" plow for (I forget), maybe $50. The Sears has no wear at all either. If the plow day goes well, I may hang onto all 4 plows, but then who knows, selling a couple could finance another tractor adventure! :smilewink:

I had a Sears but it didn't have the crank angle adjustment on it so I sold it again. Some day I'll find one and then watch out.

That's very nice of you Daniel to have tractors set up for the tractorless to use on your plow day. With people sharing, those 3 tractors will give a lot of folks a chance to enjoy the fun.

Daniel, as always, great work!

That's pretty much the new benchmark for hospitality... Building something just so people can borrow your stuff for a day...

Satin black paint is drying on it now. As for going to the trouble for a day.... IF George & Grand get to come down to my plow day, they said they'd likely not be able to tow a trailer with tractors due to the expense, and NO way they will be here & not have a tractor to plow with! So I'm putting all the outfits together that I can so they & at least one other besides them can also plow.....till I run out of fuel! :smilewink:

Looks good Daniel. You and Kenny are a good encouragement for me to try things I wouldn't ordinarily do.
