Has anyone used on of these on their 16 HP Briggs?

http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1438.l2649

Looks pretty easy, I was just wondering if there where any tips or tricks on it with these old motors? It does say this system will not work on flywheels with multiple magnets. I wasnt sure if the old Briggs has several mags or not.

Any thoughts?

There is one of those on my MF10 motor, but I have never had it running, I may get it running today.

Should work fine for you. The only problem I've heard of or experienced myself, was a backfire on startup. If you experience that, just reduce the spark plug gap, a few thousandths at a time, until it goes away. Your engine should then start and run fine.

Well, I received my Nova II electronic kit and put it in. Took about 30 Mins to do a proper install, after I just threw it on to see if it worked. All I can say is I am a believer in these now. This thing runs better than it ever did! I am a very happy person that this took care of my issues I was having. Best $11 I have spent in a while.

That's great that it works so well for you! Did it come with any literature that says what engines and models it will work on?

My new white gt1650 has this module on it so it should work on your tractor. I haven't been able to run my tractor around yet since the spindles are broken, but it seemed to start and run fine....

It will work on any single cylinder engine as long as it is NOT electronic ignition, or have multiple magnets in the flywheel. Works with magneto coils only. It will work regardless of flywheel polarity, all you have to do is switch the hookup on the module and your good to go. No sending it off to have it re polarized.
