Totally jealous. Temp is nice lately but it is still dry. I am running a soaker hose on my row of decidous holly trees out back right now. next will be the witch hazel, and the roughleaf dogwood trees. I planted 'em, I don't want to lose them.

It's not much but at least it's dripping off the roof.

We got a good shower last night. Have had 3-4 more since. Wish it would just settle in and rain all day!

Glad you guys are getting a little relief from the heat and dry spell. Looks like thunder showers for us later today. Hope it doesn't start any fires.

I feel happy with you, guys :smiley-flag008: :smiley-flag008: How long hasn't it rained? As you are glad with the rain, we are glad to have sunshine - after a long time.

One week and harvesting grain will be done

We haven't had any rain for a couple of months, we need at least 12" to get over the drought.

Pat, it's about over here for now. I hope you are getting some decent rain out of this. We'll hopefully get some more later.

Well it's still dripping off the roof, so it's not quite over yet.

It could rain all day and it would be fine with me.

I know you are thankful for the rain. we where in a drought condition back in the spring and our rainy season started June 1 and we went from drought to flooding in 7 days. This time of the year we get a good rain almost evey day, we could not take the heat if the rain did not cool things down in the afternoon.I can feel for you with no rain as I have seen that with every thing burning up and fires every where.

I spent the summer after I got out of the Navy in sunny Ft. Meyers Florida. You could just about set your watch by the afternoon rainstorm everyday at about 2:30 .... an hour later later it was sunny and hot again and you could not tell it had just rained an hour ago.

I am glad you guys are finally seeing rain. Hope it rains all day for you. We went over 2 months with none. Then August hits, normally the driest month of the year. Not this year! Most rain since March. Just mowed and the yard needs it again. Can almost see it grow. Seat time! Yeah buddy!

Here's some pics of the cracks in my back yard, Wolle.

That is a 4"X4" (101.6mm) in the second pic to give an idea of the size of the crack.
