I wasn't sure where else I could post this as I didn't see an area specifically just for photos, but I wanted to share some photos of antique tractors and equipment from the Altamont Fair in New York. I've been working at the fair all week and finally got away to check some exhibits out. Sorry the picture quality sucks, I only had my cell phone on me. Hopefully if I remember I'll bring my better camera and/or camcorder next time and try to take snome better pictures and maybe some video of the engines in action. I love watching the old Hit and Miss engines running and they sound so cool to me for some reason! It was really neat to see them operating the old farm equipment too, as they were designed for! I gotta give people credit for restoring and maintaining this kind of stuff to keep it running for younger generations to appreciate how far we've come and to admire the ingenuity of our ancestors!!

Some really nice looking tractors and the hit n miss engines belted to the equipment is great. Most folks do not get the opportunity to see the old equipment working. Thanks for sharing the pictures

Yeah, sorry! The Altamont Fair ended this past Sunday and I didn't get a chance to get over there again to take some more photos or videos of the tractors or engines. :( Was too busy working and the only time I had to go over there was at night and it was too dark by then. Oh well...

However, the New York State Fair is coming up and I think it starts towards the end of this week and runs until Labor Day. Hopefully I'll remember to bring my camera and camcorder and try to snag a few shots of any old tractors or engines I see there! I'm hoping there will be more on display there than at a li'l ol' county fair... :smilewink:

Well, I'm off to the NY State Fair this weekend with my camcorder. Hopefully I can get some shots of some nice old tractors and engines and such, assuming I can get a break long enough to go scouting for them! Wish me luck!

I have some things I'm working on. Might post some pics later! But, early mornings, I read what you folks post. And I'm having a hard time keeping more than one page of "New Content".
