Well Thanks to the guys on my other post, I was able to get my 185 starting with the key. And for you guys that dont know about that, I was having a problem getting battery voltage down to activate the solenoid on my kawasaki engine starter ( which just so happens also to be my very first tractor with a kawasaki engine!! ). Turened out to be a bad wire, so thanks to jd brian sending me a wiring diagram I was able to just make a new one !! THANKS BRIAN!! Now I wanted to basically just give you guys some pics of my 185 and just give you a run down of what im doing with it and maybe ask a few questions along the way since I have not worked on many jd's before but Im slowly starting to get into them now...atleast over the past couple months now anyway....I have included some pics one of which shows the bypass wire from the key switch to the starter solenoid. Also included are pics of the 46" Deck that came along and also another pic which I have a question about which is the one where it shows a spring where the deck height adjustment would be. I took off the plastic there because the the threaded piece that get a black knob on it was broken and the knob was missing, luckily I was able to find another piece at the junkyard but I didnt take notice at how the spring went, does anyone know???? Here are the pics....

The tractor looks pretty solid. It's good to hear that you got it sorted out.

Got some more work done on the deere this afternoon. I was able to finally put my steering assembly back together after trying to replace just the steering wheel due to it being very weak....what a PITA...the steering wheel wouldnt come off and i ended up tearing the whole steering assemby out and cutting the steering wheel off with a cut off wheel. Anyways upon taking the steering rod out I found a broken spring so I ordered a new part for that...luckily I was able to find a steering wheel at the junkyard. All is back together and I got pictures of that as well as the deck height adjuster which thanks to little tractor guy, I was able to put it back correctly too and with a new black knob as well....$7. dollars just for a knob.....also I was able to put a new plastic throttle cable knob on too....$7 for that too!!!!.....but Its coming along now....Heres some pics...also cleaned up the deck some as well.....
