I am looking at rims on the earlier JD models and wondering if there is a difference in them and my bush hog rims which are pretty much the same as all the other makes of that period. Specifically the bolt patterns... But any other differences as well.

Scott, I think that there was one or two manufactures of GT wheels and all the GT's used the same wheels, just different offset and widths.

Scott, I have some rims off a JD110, so I will check the offsets against known original D4-10 rims today & post results.

I knew the bolt patterns were the same, but the offsets on the JD 110 are identical also. Measuring from the short side to a piece of metal laid on rim's edge, both the 110 & the D4-10 rims measure right at 2 1/4", and on inset side measure 5 1/4". Markings on both rims are the same on most rims of same size/offset. You can use most any rim from most makes on your Bush Hog tractors & they would be identical to OE as long as same dimensions.

Like Daniel said, just about all GT wheels are interchangeable. Yes, some of them are different, but I assume the brands that had different wheels made them themselves. I could be totally wrong on that.

Most of them are 5 bolts on a 4 1/2" circumference bolt pattern and have 1/2" diameter bolt holes. But some use 7/16" or 9/16" bolt holes and some have different size center holes.

Some automotive products use the same bolt patterns such as the small Ford Ranger trucks so the 14" or 15" wheels will bolt right on.
