Having been to the Pageant of Steam and seeing several Cubs and Super A's in super shape made me want to spend some time with my cub. Here it is with it's cultivators on. I took a video, but that never made it out of the smart phone. Gone. Too bad.

This spring I tried to start the cub, but no go. I followed all the diagnosis and found no spark. The point was broken in the mag. I replaced it and got spark, but no start. Dad had a man come down and look at it. Apparently I retimed the mag ok, I followed a you tube video to do it, but I had not gapped the points properly. That was all it took. I took it for a ride and was content once again. Here are a few pictures.

Dave your Cub is very nice  They are on my " wish list " maybe some day . Kenny mentioned the cultivators , are they the factory colors ? I saw one at a show with ones just like that and just thought that was the only paint he had , that's the kind of stuff I do lol , Al

I've seen one with that blue color on the cultivators also, like you I thought it was just leftover paint.
What ya say Dave? Did I see yours at a show or are those "real" colors for the Cubs ?

DAVE! You better be more careful! You are missing a lug bolt! You wouldn't want the tire to fall off!

Very nice cub!

As far as I know, that is close to the color for Farmall/International paint for the cultivators and some of the pull behind plows. I've seen it several times.

Ryan, thank you. I had never noticed it. I'd hate for that to happen too.

That's a very nice Cub Dave. We see quite a few of them for sale and in use up here. Ryan has sharp eyes to see that missing bolt on the wheel!

Nice tractor you got there. When I was a kid my Dad bought a farmall cub with a belly mower to mow a couple fields behind the house and the pasture up on the hill. I spent a lot of time on the fender of that tractor while my Dad was mowing. That was more than 45 years ago.

Nice tractor. I've always had a soft spot for the smaller tractors.
