One would think if it's a long story, it would be easier to tell it in the ad than tell it to all the lookie-lous that will call because of the mystique...

1979 2418 completely rebuilt, long story

Id almost want to ask what the story is. Maybe this is is using a short for sale message to weed out the tire kickers. Only someone truly interested would take the time to respond. On the other hand her may be the type that never answers emails.

They did not leave a phone number though. And, I did email them. I am very curious...

This is what I got from the seller:

"
Hi Ryan
Well here is the story, I down sized from a cub low boy. Love the look of the power kings, I think I had in the back of my mind to just keep this one for show etc. However I bought this from out of state, it has been rebuilt by an amaturer. Looks good his one small ding in hood, approx. 6 hours on motor. I can send some photos. The guy I bought it from put a allis chalmers 6 foot belly mower on it, look good works and has a shaft drvie and belts but does not lift up high. Tires are weather checked but have tubes in them. The tractor sits in my shed, very dusty now as I used it in June. I have had my knee replaced so I am laid up. I live in Amenia N.Y. near the Connecticut state line. Oh it also has a tiller with it. I have $3500 in it as it sits. I want $2500."

Well, it certainly looks good from the pictures if it was rebuilt by an amateur. I can see what he means though if it has a huge mower deck from a different tractor cobbed up on it! It certainly looks like it belongs on there though! Maybe if the deck doesn't lift up all the way he is scalping his lawn with it and hence why he doesn't use it? :confuse:

IDK, it looks pretty neat and at least I can see why he wants at least $2,500 for it, I just don't know if it is actually worth paying $2,500 for it or what kind of work might need to be done to it...
