I bought this Gilson yesterday. And I need some help fron you.

I think that its a c10 or c12.

What year was these made?

Where can I find manuals for it?

Also need pictures of restored ones. I am going to restore so I will be printing new decals for it.

Where on the engine do I find the engine nr?

Any help is welcome

Welcome to GTtalk!

I can't help you with your tractor, but maybe I can help you locate your engine numbers. They should be stamped into the blower housing. You'll have to examine it carefully because paint sometimes obscures the numbers. On my 10 hp engine, the numbers are located on the carburetor side at about the level of the crankshaft. You can see in the pic below, where I scratched the paint off the blower housing to be able to read the numbers.

BigTen01.jpg

I also have 13 hp engines with the numbers located on the opposite side of the blower housing, at about the same level. My 16 hp engines have the numbers stamped into the top of the housing.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to GTTalk juvefarmer. Have you checked the Manuals section? I'm not familiar with the Gibson but when I'm looking for a manual and we don't have it here I start googleing it. If what I'm looking for doesn't come up on the first search then I change the search criteria a bit or just change how I ask the question. You would be surprised how a search can change just by changing the words around a bit.

Search for the engine manual B&S Handbook # CE8069 covers from 1919-1981 motors. Little harder to find but I know it's still online, was a real easy download, but was pulled from some mainstream sites last year over copyright laws. Sorry but it's to big for e-mail, I tried and my mail server (yahoo) said to big for that.

Do you have that? Is there no other way to send it but mail?

Thanks all
