I'm not talking about death count really. What gun guys tell me is that a 22 penetrates deeper than a 380. I don't know that for a fact. --------- did some googling. Everything I read says the 22 does penetrate much deeper than a 380....unless using special 380 ammo.

Ruger man too I see !!

My Redhawk is my favorite, I reload and shoot specials mostly.

Not many magnum loads have been through it, 400-500 I guess.

1000's of specials.

The reloading press has been in the attic for 12 years. I was into it big time, but my priorities changed. Hope to get back into it someday.

Besides my Ruger Mark II, I do have my old cap/ball that I built in shop class in High School. One is a 31cal (Colt copy) "Baby Dragoon" revolver, and a 45 cal Kentucky pistol, both from CVA kits. Not fired either in years. The revolver needs a new cylinder lock. I didn't think to mention the old percussion pistols.

I've had so many I've lost count? But presently I have just 2 , a Smith&Wesson model 52 target pistol and this : a Ruger Mk III loaded with goodies, custom trigger , laser, and light, and a scope in case its to bright to see the laser. The 52 is equipped with a carbon fiber custom scope mount and red dot scope.

Glock 22 .040 cal. And a Remington 870 pump 12 guage, nothing like the sound of shucking a round at 2:00 in the morning to bring FEAR to the heart of some worthless thief that just crawled through your window.

No kidding Pat. Those 870s can't be beat. And a 12 shooting slugs can put a BIG hole clean through a car.

Mine has a modified choke barrel so no slugs for me.

I talked with a policeman last week that had a person call the police to report he had been shot, it seems he took a 12 guage slug to the gut, and was still able to walk around.

The rifle is a .22 Henry Golden Boy and a Ruger .22 single six. This is a fun combo.

I have keep a plain jane Henry .22 lever action and the Ruger .22 single six in a rifle case. It usually goes in the car with me when I go to dad's place. Just in case a varmint needs to be dispatched.
