If they had the battery technology then that we have today it would have gone farther. I remember going to a garden tractor pull at the Kandiohi County fair (Willmar, MN) in the 70's and someone pulled one of these. Kinda slow but it pulled

Here's some more info on this Video.

This is the 50 second TV Commercial (AS-7022), there is another shorter one that is 30 seconds as of yet found. I talked with the owner of the footage this morning. He transfered the film to VCR tape in 1986 and probably saved the color by doing so. Unfortunately the sound did not come over. He recently transfered it again to DVD and uploaded it to YouTube late last night. The original film is currently lost but he is looking for it! If he finds it we should be able to marry the sound to the digitized film again. His father was actually the GE Photographer that made the film, a great story for the book. I got a hold of Bruce this afternoon, he remembers him well, he also did a photo of Bruce and his family back then. He was a master photographer and did both photographs of GE Executives as well as industrial photogrphy and film. That's the only film clip he has but it's another lost Elec-Trak item that has been found. Piece by piece we are putting the story together. I have it embedded on my web site already in the Promotional section along with the longer film.

This comes from George Beckett http://www.myelec-traks.com/

Very cool stuff you have there. I tried to buy a Electrak a year ago. They said either 1800 bucks or its going to the crusher... Crusher guy gave em 80 bucks and he wouldn't sell it to me for 400 that i had to offer him.

Doug, it's not that there isn't any sound, it's that the elec-trak just doesn't make any noise...

Very cool find, hope the audio surfaces too at some point.
