Do the 165's was a fuel pump? I checked and mi.e does not have one. The previous owner replaced the carb and I don't know if this one needs a fuel pump. I have a closed side LGT 165 and the serial numbers on the motor and frame are painted over.

My closed side has the fuel pump. It's on the side of the block just below the carb.

All the closed sided units had fuel pumps.

I want to thank everyone for their help and ideas especially skyrydr2 for the info on fuel pumps. I put a fuel pump on my motor and waited for dry weather to try it out. The old Ford works Great, raked up almost an acre of cut grass at full throttle with my grandson hanging on and it never missed a beat. Again thank you for your help, i hope i can return the favor.
