I think I will go to Tulsa to an indoor shooting range today and get some target practice in.

Glad your to a shooting range and not going after a arsonist in a pick-up truck . But if you find him and hold em until the police come that's different , Al

'Going Shooting Today', as lawn sign might soon become a required home security measure. Enjoy :smile1:

I went last Saturday to renew my CHL. First time I've been to the range in about 4 years. I usually use my Colt Commander .45 but this time decided to use my Browning High Power .40S&W. That's a really nice round, not a lot of recoil and is very effective. Have fun and be safe.

Well my Glock had a problem the last time I fired it. If the loaded a mag and hit the slide release, the hammer would hit the primer but not enough to fire the round, if I pulled the slide and let it go it was just fine. It did this twice. This is my carry weapon and it HAS to fire the time every time. This place has a gunsmith on site, so hopefully he can fix it.

Ad some dogs to that and you have what we call " Block Watch" on our road (which is a dead end) 5 families ALL have dogs and 3 have no problem handling a gun (including the women folk). We have been very fortunate, a lot of farms in our area have been hit, but so far we have been safe.

I hope he can explain what is causing the problem to your satisfaction, I would be very concerned that it might act up again when you REALLY need it !!

I live about 10 miles from a State prison so when they have an escape we are usually their first stop on the way to Tulsa.

That's why some people say they like wheel guns. I've not yet had a problem with any of my semi-autos but did find that after I had the .45 de-burred and the ramp polished it no longer likes wad cutters so I have about 300 of those and don't have a use for them. Good part of that is that I never loaded them. Guess I should sell them. I load my own and we have to use factory ammo when renewing our CHL here so I had to buy a box and was shocked at the price of new ammo now.
