My wife and I have been looking at selling our 25' travel trailer to one of the daughters and getting a newer one with a couple of slide outs. Found a great deal on Craig's List and emailed back and forth with the "owner" a few times.

Received this a few minutes ago:
Hi again,

The trailer is in the state of NY. I am located out of the city, because I'm having some medical problems with my pregnancy. I've paid insurance to Google and I'll be using them as the service for this transaction. The transaction is protected up to $10,000.00. My sister used Google Checkout and its a good service and very safe. They have buyer&seller protection plan and no hidden fees or other costs. There will be assistance for the transaction, title transfer, etc. Also I'm a fair person and I have decided that you will be paying just half of the price now ($2500) and balance after you have received the rv.
If you are still interested in buying the trailer, I can give you the link to my Google Checkout auction page. It’s a buy it now auction so you won’t have to bid. Also there will be assistance from Google, if you wanna check out yourself.
You'll get the chance to inspect it, test it and everything you like while your deposit is still safely held in Google Checkout's trust account.
ONLY after you confirm to Google Checkout that you pleased with the item, they will release the money to me.

If, for some reason, you disagree with the item (I assure you that is NOT going to happen since the trailer looks like I described in the listing, no leaks or water damage and the photos are real and recently taken) it will be shipped back to me on my expense and Google Checkout will full refund your money back.

Thank you,
Melanie

This is her email address so please feel free to steal the deal from me. Melanie S. Tripity sevenstarsleft7@gmail.com

Thanks,

The E-mail gives too much BS and odd explinations....It's a scam, save yourself and stay away from it.

I got some really dumb E-mails from "buyers" when I had a motorcycle for sale. It would really be stupid for me to send someone money to buy my items for sale!

Sounds like a scam. Why would she move farther away from a city if she was having problems with her pregnancy? City's are where the good doctors and hospitals are. Why would she mention something so personal at all?

I figured it is a scam. Hopefully some spammers will pick up the email address and flood "her" inbox.

Thanks,

Yeah, this is a pretty typical CL scam. I do a lot of craigslisting and my favorite ones are from horny girls that fell in love with you cause of the item you are selling. I got more nudie pics from selling a radial arm saw then I think I ever will in real life...wow.

As others have said it's a scam, @gmail.com is almost always the prefered email accounts for overseas scammers.

Sounds like a scam.I've replied to a few adds looking to buy some stuff one thing I do is that if they send me a e-mail back like that I'll reply to them in this way.I have a brother/cousin etc: living in that town I'll have him/her come down with the money and pick the article up and pay at the same time. Guess what I've never gotten a reply back from any of them.
